Having lived with an autoimmune disease her entire life, Citrine Sundays’ co-founder, Janelle Reyes, was always in search for a more holistic approach to address her health concerns and noticed a growing interest in the health and wellness category via social media. Always sharing discoveries with her peers, she realized there was a general audience out there that wanted to know more but didn’t know where to start.
After living a life always on the go in New York, Liza Perez, Citrine Sundays’ other co-founder/CEO, left her fashion advertising career to pursue a digital nomad lifestyle. She wanted to find a way to help other busy people learn about and incorporate wellness into their lives.
Realizing there was a market of people that didn’t want to be overwhelmed with too much knowledge and information, they use their website and social media, to provide easy-grasping recipes, tips, and tricks for overall wellness.
Knowing that turmeric has a multitude of health benefits, they began incorporating golden milk and turmeric tonics as part of their daily routine. Eventually, they perfected a recipe and launched their first product made up of adaptogenic turmeric and spices to make it easier for busy people to incorporate nourishing rituals into their daily lives.
